Sulphur impregnated activated carbon is a specialized adsorbent that is used for the removal of elemental mercury in various industrial and environmental applications. Its chemical impregnation process enhances the adsorption capacity of activated carbon and enables it to capture mercury at a high efficiency rate. Sulphur impregnated activated carbon offers superior surface area and pore size distribution, which makes it the top choice for many industries seeking reliable solutions for gas purification, wastewater treatment, and hazardous waste treatment.

EMAIL

Sulfur impregnated Activated carbon is highly effective for the removal of mercury vapor. The mercury removal process typically employs a single or double vessel adsorption system designed to reduce the concentration to below 0.01ug/Nm. During the adsorption process, the mercury is attracted to the surface of the desulfurized coal activated carbon. A chemical reaction then occurs, converting the mercury to mercury sulfide, which is retained in the pores of the carbon particles. This mechanism ensures efficient and reliable removal of mercury from gas streams, making sulfur impregnated activated carbon a popular choice for such applications.
